NATIONAL EXHIBITION 2022

Islam-ul-Ahmadiyya in Prints and Visuals

Welcome to National Exhibition 2022

It was Sara Sheridan who wrote:
“Without archives many stories of real people would be lost, and along with those stories, vital clues that allow us to reflect and interpret our lives today.”
It is with this huge sense of preserving history that the Majlis Ansarullah Ahmadiyya Nigeria presents to the public an Exhibition titled: “National Exhibition 2022”.

The theme of the program is “Islam-ul-Ahmadiyya in Prints and Visuals”.

About Ahmadiyya

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community are Muslims who believe in the Messiah, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (peace be on him) (1835-1908) of Qadian. Mirza Ghulam Ahmad founded the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in 1889 as a revival movement within Islam, emphasizing its essential teachings of peace, love, justice, and sanctity of life...

Ahmadiyya In Nigeria

The foundation of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Nigeria was laid between 1914 and 1919 in Lagos when the members of the Muslim Literary society led by Late Imam M. B Augusto wrote to Qadian after stumbling on a pamphlet of the Ahmadiyya Community. This later culminated in the sending of the first Missionary from Qadian Maulana Abdul Raheem Nayyar in 1921, the arrival of a foreign Missionary led to great inroads into the Muslim Community, which led to the establishment of the first Muslim run educational institution in Elegbaata, Ebute Meta, Lagos, the first Muslim Newspaper 'The Truth' and other major achievements for the Muslim Community in Lagos and the entire Nation. Today over 100 years later the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Nigeria has grown with over 500 Mosques, mission houses, hospitals and schools in over 20 states of Nigeria.

And when people are brought together…

The exhibition is one that will give an unbiased visitor a chance to see the evolution of the Ahmadiyya Community globally and in particular Nigeria.

Having spent over 100 years of service in Nigeria spanning all areas of human endeavour the Ahmadiyya Community is pleased to present to the public an exhibition detailing her achievements over the years
